Foam Turkey Decoy Tips

If you are a Foam Turkey Decoy Hunter, use these tips to help secure, pack and adjust your foam decoys for a better presentation. 

#1 - Pack your Decoys in your pack or bag with 10 or 12 Gauge Solid Strand Black Electrical Wire.

#2 - Create an internal structure for the decoy so it will not deflate to its packed state while on display while hunting.

#3 - Hold your decoy in position and prevent it from spinning around unnaturally in circles.

#4 - Adjust the height of the stand by wrapping the wire around the stand or poles to present a natural turkey height.

Here the wire has been used to secure my pack of foam wild turkey decoys in my transport bag.

Here the wire was used to keep the shape of the bird full and to help prevent spinning.  During really windy days. use a stick (shown here) to hold the tail in place by sticking it onto the ground and using a Y in the stick to pin the tail down.
